Who should buy the export domain

One primary host, not a row of empty shells
One memorable .com or category word is enough for English. Extra languages can wait as folders. Do not buy a vacant domain for every market on day one.
Whose name
Registrar login, paying card, and the Whois mailbox should sit with the company. A personal inbox becomes an incident after someone leaves.
Picking a registrar
You need NS control, privacy, and an auth code. The cheapest shops often stall on transfers and invoices.
Same day
Turn on 2FA and point Whois at a mailbox that will last. Do not fling the nameservers around until the host IP is fixed, then hand them to Cloudflare.
